Year 1990 AN526C-832R6 SS #8 Machine Screw 3/8" length These are the R6 length stainless steel machine screws used to fasten the majority of the sheet metal panels to the fuselage. The nylon washers protect the paint from wearing away underneath the truss head of the screw.
The longer R8 screw works in places where several pieces come together or where the shorter screw won't reach.

Most of the trim pieces attach with sheet metal screws. The rear part of the metal fuselage, where the covering transitions into fabric, is attached with #4 sheet metal screws, not machine screws.

My solution was to attach some Tinnerman nuts on the back-sides using black Permatex Gasket sealant. The 3/8" Tinnerman screw worked best for me here.

By pulling sideways in the middle of the wire with a scale (like a fish scale), a 50lb force should cause a 1 inch to 1 and 1/4 inch deflection of the flying wire.

I emailed Aviat Aircraft who own the Christen oil system brand.
I too had damaged the 'O' ring on the oil screen cavity plug, by it
being cut on the sharp edge of the bore when pushing the plug home.
This was the reply.
"Part number 30002-001 cross references over to part number
31947. This is the metal sump plug. The price is $50.51 ea. There
is not a croos-reference number for you to buy this anywhere but
from us.
The o-ring part number is 65921. The AS number is AS3578-111. If
you are unable to find it, I can send you some.
They are priced at $0.24 ea."
I found the AS3578-111 at a local supplier, so it should be readily
